Getting started
Starting from a template
Every template is a whole app that already runs. Cloning copies the structure, never the data.
On the template shelf every card leads to a real site you can open and walk around — with its pages, its tables and its own user sign-up. A template here is not a picture and not a starter file.
What a clone takes
- The files and the pages
- The table definitions: the fields and the four permission rules
- The design and the name of the home page
What it leaves behind
- Not one record
- Not one registered user
- Not one uploaded file
When you clone somebody else's app, what you get is the published version — not the draft the owner is working on right now.
Leaving the data behind is the feature, not a shortcoming. Somebody else's records landing in a stranger's hands is exactly what must never happen.
